From the Ridge
Scale 1:12
Mixed Media · MDF · Clay · Acrylic Paint
This collection draws from the visual language of 18th-century Scottish and colonial American domestic life as rendered in Outlander — a show whose set design, props, and period detail became an unexpected source of healing for the artist during a difficult time in her life.
Decorative motifs draw from pierced folk carving, early Georgian and Jacobean influences, and the smoke-darkened surfaces of inherited handmade objects. Each piece is handmade: carved, painted, and assembled by hand. The candles and eggs are hand-formed clay. The palette holds resin-set pigment.
